"Obituary: On Sunday, June 11th, 1922, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Morgan, passed away at the advanced age of ninety years, nine months and twenty six days. She was for many years a resident of Brighton Township, but since the removal of her only son to Saskatchewan, she has made her home with her daughters. She was the widow of the later Carlton Fraleigh, who predeceased her over twenty years ago. She had been ill for only a short time when pneunomia suddenly developed and the end came unexpectedly. Mrs. Fraleigh had retained all her faculties to a remarkable degree for one of her year and was very dearly beloved by all. To know her was to love her, as she was always of a cheery, loving disposition, making new friends where ever she went. She left a long list of descendants, including eight children, thirty-nine grand-children, eighty great grand-children and twelve great-great-grand-children. Six of her children died in childhood and thirty other descendants predeceased her. The funeral service was held in Carman Church on Tuesday, June 13th." from The Brighton Ensign, June 16, 1922, seen on microfilm at The Ontario Archives, Dec. 21, 2001

(Damage to the page at the bottom 4 rows, second and third columns; John Pickle appears to be there on line 49 but surname is not complete, occ. and location born is gone, shows no religion and widower, age is 88 - so is likely Frederick's father???)8 He lived on 23 October 1858 at Conc 4 Lot 31, Brighton Twp., Northumberland Co., Canada West; Land Registry Records (B&S 865) show that C. Casement in Friends Cemetery, Wooler, shows her as the wife of F. C. Pickle. Right beside this stone is a stone for Dora E. Weaver who was the only child of Manson Benson Weaver and Sarah Eleanor Casement. She died in 1886. On the other side is a stone for Ida M. Pickle who died in 1884, age appears to be 3 years. Frederick C. Pickle The land records are rather confusing re what happened to this land. It is obvious that Thomas B. Wragg was deeply involved, having given mortgages to Frederck Pickle on both parts, in lots 31 and 32. There are transactions showing him as the "Trustee" and naming Ida and others, but these are written in the worst hand-writting I have ever seen in these records. Very hard to make out. In any case, these lands passed on to others as a result of depts incurred by mortgages. Mr. Wragg was engaged in this business in the wider area, so no surprise to see him involved here. (Dan Buchanan, Sep 22 2023) circa 1875 at Conc 4 Lots 31 & 32, Brighton Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.7 He died in October 1878 at Ontario; I have found no information about the death of Frederick C. Pickle. A land transaction under Thomas B. Wragg (Trustee) shows Frederick's kids as the Grantees. ITS Date is Oct 30 1871 & Reg'n. date is Oct 31 1878. I wonder if this suggests Frederick's death earlier in Oct 1878? (Dan Buchanan, Dec 4 2021.)7
