Through the years Mr. Jackson was a devoted husband and father, and a person who always enjoyed his many friends and neighbors. Note: Memory Gardens is a private cemetery operated by Warren & Son Funeral Home in Swift Current. It is located just south of the intersection of The Trans Canada Highway (#1) and Highway # 4 south. "Stella Massey - b. 1880; d. June 10, 1899. Probably many of you have heard of Stella's tragic death. She was attending a May 24 picnic on the grounds of Castleton Church. A youth threw a lighted firecracker at her feet as she walked along with a boy friend. The celluloid starch used to stiffen the full petticoats of that period, caught the flames, and the terrified girl running, spreading them. She was taken to the adjoining manse where she died June 10. The service was at Morganston Church. A neighboring minister officiated as the local one was too upset to be able to conduct the service. Burial, Stone Cem., Norham.
