He enlisted with the R.C.A.F. in November of 1942 and trained at Trenton, Toronto and Western Canada before going overseas in October of 1943. Loving partner of Maurice Jones, his son Jamie (Vicky) and their sons Nathan and Matthew. Loving daughter of the late Vernon and Mabel (Gillespie) Taylor. Joan is survived by her sisters Doris Tackaberry (late Francis) and Shirley Buchanan ( late Rev. Charles) and pre-deceased by her sister Ada Archer (late Jack) and brothers Douglas, Glenn and Wilmot (Bill) (late Carol). Friends are invited to call at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., Cobourg on Friday February 23rd, from 12:30 – 2 pm., followed by a service at 2 pm. Interment in Fairview Cemetery in the spring. If desired donations may be made to the Salvation Army or charity of your choice.
