Eveline Gould was born on 5 February 1869 at Cramahe Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario; Per 1901 Census. She died on 14 January 1956 at Toronto, Ontario, at age 86; "Miss Eveline Gould: A former resident of Salem, EVeline Gould, entered into rest at Toronto on Saturday, January 14, 1956, aged 88 years. Miss Gould was born in Salem, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Irel Gould. The earlier part of her life was lived in the Salem community where she attended Public School. For several years she taught Sunday school and was a faithful member of Salem United Church (then Methodist). Following her residence in Salem she went to reside in Picton, until last October she moved to Toronto, making her home with her nephew, Mr. Arthur Metcalfe. This nephew is her sole survivor. Miss Gould rested at the Humphrey and Thompson Funeral Home and Chapel in Toronto until Sunday evening, January 15. The funeral service was held in Salem United Church Monday afternoon, January 16, at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. F. J. Whitley, minister of Picton United Church, conducted the service. Interment was in Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers were Messrs. Clayton Peacock, William, Peacock, William Brown, Gordon Knapp, all of Salem, Mr. Dietcher, Toronto, Mr. Rowlan, Picton.
