Mrs. Way visited her in-laws at Cedar Creek many times while living in Detroit, where her husband Lisle worked, but when his health failed the family returned to Cedar Creek. He and his mother died at Cedar Creek on the same day, and Edith stayed on at the factory to help look after things during the years 1936 - 1937.
