Sintaluta -- Located 80 km east of Regina on the Trans-Canada highway. Sintaluta has a population of 125 people. (Saskatchewan Genealogical Society Web site)
Per modern Saskatchewan map: Sintaluta is on the Trans-Canada Highway about 85 km east of Regina, 30 km east of Q'Appelle. He was Lloyd Ames told of working at the general store of Ernie Valleau in the small town near where he worked during a harvest excursion as a young man. Lloyd would work at the store on Saturday and Sunday evenings which were the peak periods when farmers could come to town and buy supplies, tools, equipment, machinery and food. in 1920 at Near Fort Q'Appelle, Sentiluta, Saskatchewan. "Obituary: Lawrence Millen - Lawrence Craig Millen of Lot 5, Concession 5 passed away at the age of 84 on April 25 after a heart attack. He was a resident of Porquis but had gone to Kapuskasing in 1947. He was a lumberjack until his retirement in 1968. Mr. Millen is predeceased by his wife Marjorie. He is survived by his brother Rex (and Edna), son Floyd (and ruby), and son George Sparling (wife Dale). he is also survived by 10 grandchildren. Mr. Millen's funeral took place on April 28 at 3 p.m. Service was conducted by Father Ron Millson, assisted by the organist and soloist, Verna Millison. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Hopkins, harvey Emans, and Mike Chassie. Active pallbearers were Reg Gervais, Gordon Denault, Michel "Bazz" Lachapelle, Arnold Millen, Ronney Millen and Donny Millen.
