She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mutton, Cramahe Township. On January 19, 1893, on her 25th birthday, she became the bride of John Wesley Down. She now lives in a trailer on the same property she came to as a bride. They had three children, but Arthur is the only one still living. She has two grandchildren, Wesley and Fredrick and eight great grandchildren.
