Down.5 She appeared on the census of June 1911 at Brighton Twp., Hilton, Northumberland Co., Ontario; Age 43 at 1911 Census: see John W. Down.4 She It would appear that the author of the document called "Pleasant Valley Has Interesting History" was Mary Anne (Mutton) Down. The date may be around 1919 because she says near the bottom of page 1 that "Mary Jane Mutton still lives on the farm where she came as a bride 75 yars ago." John Wesley Down and Mary Ann Mutton were married in in 1919 at Brighton Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario. She appeared on the census of 1921 at Brighton Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario; Age 52 at 1921 Census: see John Wesley Down.10 She "Ninety-fourth Anniversary of Shiloh Church 1957 - The ninety-fourth anniversary of Shiloh Church was held September 29th, 1957. The guest speaker was Rev. Judd. It was, indeed, almost entirely a family gathering of the Mutton and Dunnett families, although there were only Dunnett descendants, but not any of the Dunnett name. Shirley's mother, Dora Augusta Goodfellow was a member of the Philp clan that lived at Shiloh with the Mutton's. after 1959 at Ontario.1 She "101 on Sunday; Mrs. J. W. (Mary Ann) Down quietly celebrated her 101st birthday at her grandson's home, R. R. 1, Hilton, on Sunday, January 19. She was born Mary Ann Mutton, the oldest of seven children. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mutton, Cramahe Township. On January 19, 1893, on her 25th birthday, she became the bride of John Wesley Down. She now lives in a trailer on the same property she came to as a bride. They had three children, but Arthur is the only one still living. She has two grandchildren, Wesley and Fredrick and eight great grandchildren.
