I see no records for it, but it is implied very strongly by several land registry records which have him selling to her and then doing a mortgage together, several times. This clearly indicates a husband and wife team. He may have gone to Saskatchewan to get a homestead, then came back to Brighton for a time, with a new wife. Hope to find more about this, but, for now, I am recording the land transactions that fit this scenario. If/when better info comes along, we can change it. I see no records for it, but it is implied very strongly by several land registry records which have him selling to her and then doing a mortgage together, several times. This clearly indicates a husband and wife team. He may have gone to Saskatchewan to get a homestead, then came back to Brighton for a time, with a new wife. Hope to find more about this, but, for now, I am recording the land transactions that fit this scenario. If/when better info comes along, we can change it.
