Farther downstream and on the the west side of Drewry Street at the base of the Drewry hill as a large building operated by the Drewry brothers, who did custom grain grinding and made flour. The also manufactured apple barrel staves, for which the wood had to be steamed and made pliable so it could be cut by sws and then shaped. The steam for this process was supplied by a large boiler, which was heated by wood. In 1880 this mill was abandoned and a new one erected by the Drewry brothers.
