She passed away after a lingering illness on March 9th, in her 77th year. She was born, married, and lived in Brighton all her life. Previous to her marriage she taught school for a time at Colborne, also in the Drewry Hill and Philp neighborhoods, north of Brighton. On February 4th, 1858, she was united in marriage to James E. Solomon, who predeceased her on February 29th last, She was a member of the Methodist church since early childhood. She is survived by three sons, one sister, Mrs. Wm. Bartlett of Windsor, and one brother, Ira B. Thayer of Toronto.
Interment took place at Mount Hope cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. W. Elliott.
