Barrister, is a native of Prince Edward County, Ontario. His ancestors on both sides were U. E. Loyalists... Mr. Dingman received his early education under the tuition of the Rev. Stearne Tighe, A. M., and the Rev. Dr. Mulvaney, Episcopal clergyman. After having read the University course for awhile, he decided to study law and having passed his entrance examination to the Law Society in January 1875, he began his studied in the office of Mr. Baldwin Fralick of Belelville, subsequently studying with Messrs. Diamond & Diamond of the same city and still later with Spencer, McDougall & Gordon fo Toronto. After attending the course of Law Lectures at Osgoode Hall, he succeeded by obtaining first class honours in reducing his time of service under articles by one year and in Hilar Term, 1879, passed both his examinations as an Attorney and for Call to the Bar, being then the youngest Barrister in the Dominion. Immediately after this he formed a law partnership with Mr. T. G. Fennell, of Listowell, and the firm of Fennell & Dingman (wo are local Solicitorsfor all the banks and many of the best business establishments in the place) enhoy a very extensive practice. Mr. Dingman is essentially of a literary turn, evincing at the same time a lively interest in politics on the side of Conservatism.
