    "After two months illness, Mrs. Jno A. Robinson passed away Sunday morning at the residence of her son, 728 Paper Ave., Toronto, at the advanced age of 78. Deceased was born in Prince Edward County but spent most of her life in Brighton Twp., removing to Toronto about five years ago. Her husband and two children survive, Mrs. C. Snelgrove and E. R. Edith Shortt), Effie (m. Snelgrove). Written: Aunt Ellen, the other daughter in family of ten, as I remember her as unlike Grandmother. A medium built woman & very likeable with a shaky voice. Many of the Ames' had a sort of palsy, with a bad shake which affected their speech to some extent.

Worked Until Recently; For more than 50 years a teacher in the public schools of various parts of Ontario, John Ames died yesterday at his home, 46 Olive Ave., after a brief illness. He was 82 years of age. Mr. Ames, of Irish ancestry, was born on Waupoos Island, Bay of Quinte on February 2, 1849. He began his teaching career in Brighton Township in 1868, and his last school was at Matheson, Northern Ontario. The late Mr. Ames, who was superanuated about eight years ago when he returned to Toronto, was a member of Bathurst St. United Church and in May of last year celebrated his diamond wedding anniversary with his wife and family.     "George H. Ames - George H. Ames, 85, died Sunday morning at 6 o'clock at his home, 20 Judson St. He had been ill two and a half years. Mr. Ames was born Aug 30, 1857 in Canada, the son of David and Mary King Ames, and attended schools in Canada. His wife, the former Mary Aldrich, preceeded him in death. He came to the United States when he was 21 years old and had lived in Pontiac 30 years, coming here from Romeo. Mr. Ames was a retired farmer. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Maude Renwick of Ypsilanti and Mrs. Alice Alger of Drayton Plains; two sons, Grover of Pontiac and Homer of Romeo; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Frazee and Mrs. Deborah Swanson, both of Pontiac and two brothers, David of White's Landing, O. and John of Travers City. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Huntoon Funeral home, the Rev. Rufus Traver officiating. Burial will be in Perry Mt.
