This is where Maurice Ames had built a house which he was not able to finish. His nephew, Lloyd Ames and his wife Louise, would move into this house in 1949 when their daughter, Mary, married Charles Buchanan and moved onto the farm north of Codrington.   Note: Lloyd and Louise Ames lived on the farm north of Codrington until their daughter Mary married Charles Buchanan. The young couple moved onto the farm and Lloyd and Louise purchased the house in the village which Lloyd had helped his uncle Maurice build.
