• Death*: 16 August 1955; Warkworth, Ontario; "Obituary: Mrs. Edward Jaques: The funeral of Mrs. Edward Jaques of Warkworth was held Thursday afternoon, August 18, 1955, at 2 p.m. with service conducted by Rev. T. E. Kennedy of Presbyterian Church, in the absense of Rev. A. L. Sisco. The funeral was held from the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. H. C. Sherwin, with whom she had resided for the past several years. Interment was in Warkworth Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Greenly, Eldon Ewing, Aubrey Lockhart, Vincent Jones, Elton Hutchinson, and William Shaw. Flower bearers were William Pollock, John LaBrash, Clarence Potter, Charles Osborne, Sid Mescock, William Potter, Lorne Hutchinson, Earl Nelson and Sloan Ewing. Mrs. Jaques was born in Napanee, daughter of the late Simeon Hilton and the former Lucinda Frink. She once resided in Allisonville in Prince Edward County, but had lived in the Warkworth district for the past fifty-four years. Mrs. Jaques was a member of St. Paul's United Church and Percy Branch of the Women's Institute. She passed away Tuesday evening, August sixteenth. She had been in failing health for the past few years, since the death of her husband at that time, and was hospitalized for a week shortly before her death. She was eighty-eight years of age. Surviving are two sons, Fred of Brighton and Harry of Campbellford, and one daughter, Mrs. H. C Sherwin of Warkworth. Four grandchildren also survive. " Brighton Ensign, August 25 1955

He marreid the former Flossie Jacques who survives him. Mr. Shrewin wa a member of St. Paul's United Church, Warkworth, and Mason of A. F. & A. M. 161. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. William Jones (Gladys) of Peterborough; two brothers, Percy of Campbellford and Ross of Brighton; Elmer of Hastings predeceased him. Rev. H. H. Lackey officiated at the service from the allen Funeral Chapel, December 6. Interment was in Warkworth Cemetery. A Masonic service was also held at the chapel in the evening.
