Sarah Marsh1
F, b. circa 1813
| Father | Cyrus Marsh1 b. 8 Nov 1770, d. a 1828 |
| Mother | Ann "Nancy" McArthur1 b. 1771, d. a 1862 |
Sarah Marsh was born circa 1813 at Murray Twp., Northumberland Co., Upper Canada; This Sarah Marsh is added as a child of Cyrus Marsh and Ann (Singleton, McArthur) Marsh based on two documents. First, there are one or two females under 16 in the Murray Township census records in the 18-teens. Second, there is a land registry record (Mar 6 1833) that shows the grantees to be "A. Marsh & Sarah Marsh". I know of no other Sarah associated with this family, so I must speculate that she is Ann's daughter. Would love to have more documentation about this person. (Dan Buchanan, Sep 25 2022.)1 She lived on 6 March 1833 at Conc B Lot 35, Murray Twp., Northumberland Co., Upper Canada; Land Registry Records (B.S. 2881) show that A. Marsh & Sarah Marsh sold 1/4 acre in lot 35, conc B, Murray Twp., Northumberland Co. to Maria L. Richardson. ITS Date: Mar 6 1833. Reg'n. Date: Mar 8 1833. (Ontario Land Registry Records, Northumberland Co., Brighton Twp., Conc B, Lot 35, pg. 252 of 256, pg. 01, page copied from OnLand.ca by Dan Buchanan, Feb 5 2022.)
Note: A. Marsh is most likely referring to Ann Marsh, wife of Cyrus Marsh and originally Ann (or Nancy) McArthur. She was the wife of George Singleton and then Alexander Chisholm. A son was John Singleton. Sarah Marsh may be a daughter by Cyrus Marsh. There is not info re this Sarah Marsh. (Dan Buchanan, Nov 12 2023.)1 She lived on 5 February 1838 at Village Lot 30, Main St. South, Brighton, Northumberland Co., Canada West; Land Registry Records (B&S 5179) show that John F. Sherman & wife sold the "the same", of Village Lot 30, South Main St., Brighton, Northumberland Co. to Sarah Marsh. ITS Date: Feb 5 1838. Reg'n. Date: Jun 25 1838.
