No material was found. It was a direct line out ¼ mile to 15 ft. depth to check for material. Found WW1 30 cal. Machine gun bullets, 30 cal. Machine fun - WW 20 mm cannon - steel WW2. Oliver Lawrence I.S. these bullets. Also 2 large steel bomb cases were located, and one bomb casing with a white band which had stamped on Jan 13 1943. Steel landing craft mats were located in the same area, as well a chrome piece from a modern-day car bumper. Also, a lead weight from fish net. This verifies Proton Mag's sensitivity for small objects. When time permits further runs may be interesting along this stretch. Oliver Lawrence filled out a spotter's report on HS for the O.P.P. He sure is doing his job." This is a note Ed Burtt wrote at the bottom of the Survey Sheet for August 19, 1990, when they were searching for the remains of HMS Speedy. Oliver Lawrence lived on Lot 13, which is north of the Stinson Block road right near where it turns east toward Consecon. Robinson's Point is farther south along the shore, a slight bulge in the shoreling, so maybe the closest point to Dobbs Bank. There is still a communications tower on the shore there.
