Daughter of the late Horace and Maud Calnan and sister of the late Clifford Calnan (d. Marion), all of Ameliasburg. Predeceased by her beloved husband Luther (1972) and sons Donald and Clare (1944). Loving mother of Shirley Post (George) of Peterborough, Mel Alyea (Fran) of Cloyne and Elm Alyea (Mary Jo) of Guelph. Always remembered by her grandchildren Ellen, Christine, Richard, Wendy, Stephen, Amy and Holly, and 17 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her nephew David Calnan (Susan) and their daughter Victoria (Steve). Following over 20 years as receptionist-bookkeeper at the John R Bush Funeral Home, in her retirement Evelyn served her church, Holloway Street United Church for many years by catering meals for many group functions. However, Evelyn's greatest joy and devotion in her life were to her family.
Funeral service will be held in Belleville on Saturday, December 15th. Rev. Margaret Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow.
