I have developed info for the McGillis and associated families but we still do not know the name of the lady who gave Norm the page. She did not put her name on it!! Her mother was Sybil Winnifred McGillis so, according to a Marriage Registration from 1917, her father was Thomas Ora Mikel. Who is this lady and how can we get in touch with her?
Also, it is a bit unclear exactly the connection with the Lighthouse - or which Lighthouse. Hebert E. Smith was recorded as a Lighthouse Keeper in the 1901 Census but I do not see that on the Provincial list. However, he was not married to Catherine Lorinda Smith - who was actually the mother of Beecher McGillis, father of Sybil McGillis. Yes, Catherine Lorinda Smith and Herbert E. Smith were siblings, children of James Smith, so the aunt and uncle thing is right, at least re Herbert Smith. circa 1920.
