Note: This is the first time I have seen this direct reference to the second man killed in The Breakaway, April 21 1852. Information that came to me in 2013 demonstrated that the second man killed was NOT John Herrington - as he and wife Louisa Richmond are shown buried in Michigan much later. There are no records for Jacob Herrington after The Breakaway - nor of his wife Sarah and several of their kids. This is the same kind of thing that messed me around re John.
