"... my dad Harrison Raycraft was married in 1938 ... " per email from Paul Raycraft, Nov 14, 2014. per Memorial.2,7,8 William Harrison Raycraft "Dan, My name is Paul Raycraft, I recently heard about the Latimer photos at the decoration service at McPhail Cemetery. I would like to see them as my father, Harrison Raycraft and his parents, Walter and Mattie as well as his grand-father William are on your list of names. George Vosbourgh is my grand-father on my mother’s side. Also did William Latimer have a son Gerald because he married my Aunt Laura Vosbourgh. I would like to thank you for all the work you have done to check documents and cross-reference for the people on Treesbydan web site. So very helpful. I bought the book Brighton Business,s 1816 to 2009 ans found out that Walter had purchased the Orland Mill in 1933 and that his brother-in-law Shelden Phillips has also owned it in 1911. This changed a bunch of assumptions as to where Walter livd and where my father grew up. I knew that my father, Harrison had a trucking business in Orland and I believe my mother Inez (nee Vosbough) worked on the telephone switchboard. Dad later bought the Bottling Works in Brighton. I drove by the Orland mill yesterday and see it is up for sale.
I would love to find out more about the mill and Latimers’ Store and the photos.
