Frank Goodrich was Reeve of Brighton Village at the time. Sadly, his wife, Eva, had passed away only a few weeks before, and plans were quickly changed to have their daughter, Marjorie, go in her mother's place. A pictrure of the moment shows Frank Goodrich shaking hands with the Queen and Marjorie, beside and behind him, right foot lifted in anticipation of a proper curtsy. Marjorie loved to tell this story and giggled at the way this picture shows her state of mind at that moment.
