Ross Crosby - J. Ross Crosby, 21 Division St., Brighton, and formerly of English Settlement, died in Belleville General Hospital on November 18 in his 73rd year. He had been in failing health for the past six months. Born in Trenton, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Crosby and spent his lifetime in the Trenton area. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nat (Audrey) Wall, Smithers, B. C., Mrs. Allan (Lois) Seabrooke, Charlotte, Mich., Mrs. Gerald (Loreen) Batchellor, Peterborough; a sister Mrs. Nan Stinson, Trenton; a brother, Donald, Trenton; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the late Mabel Richards. A retired farmer, Mr. Crosby latger employed by the Department of Transport as superintendent of the Murray Canal. He was a member of the United Church of Canada. Rev. A. C. McLaren conducted the funeral service a the Weaver Funeral Home on Nov. 22. Active pallbearers were Marinas Voorwinden, Arthur Dopking, Robert Hutchison, Ralph Hill, Howard Freeman and Frank Batchellor. Honoray bearers were Frank Powers, Cecil Fitchet, Lloyd Bigford and Gordon Lovett. Burial took place in Mount Evergreen Cemetery." per Descendants of ?
