"March Marriage - The home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ames, of Codrington, was the scene of a hightly interesting even on Thrusday, the 5th., inst., when their youngest daughter, F. Winnifred, was united in marriage to Mr. W. W. Weaver, of Trenton. It was the advaned morning of an ideal winter day when numerous relatives from the surrounding country, and a goodly contingent from Trenton, gathered as guests of the occassion. Within the noon hour, at the music of the wedding march by Mrs. Goodfellow, of Mount Olivet, the bride, attired in point d'esprit over white silk, the veil being caught with sprays of white phlox, and bearing a shower bouquet of cream American beauty roses and smilax., was led to the alter by her father. She was attended by Miss Ora Weaver, sister of the groom, in cream silk organdie varied by pink roses and bearing a pink profusion of the same floral viariety as borne by the bride, while little Stella Massey, neice of the bride, as maid of honor, enhanced the event with a capacious basket of smilax and white and pink carnations. The groom was supported by his brother, M. B. Weaver, of Trenton. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. W. Coombe, under an evergreen arch embellished with lace and silvery decorations, subdued straings from the piano being continued througout the service. A sumptuous repast was then served in the dining room, also tastefully decorated. The gifts to the bride were numerous and beautiful. that of the groom to the bride was a broach of amethyst and pearl; to the bridesmaid a gold locket and chain and to the maid of honor, a pearl ring. The bride's going-away dress was navy-blue broadcloth with staw hat to match. The happy couple took the 5 p.m. train for Montreal, where some days will be spent in inspecting the attractions of the Canadian metropolis, after wich they will take up their residence in Trenton." from The Brighton Ensign, March 13, 1908, seen on microfilm at The Trenton Public Library, Dec. 28, 2001.; Principal=Florence Winnifred Ames7

"William Walter Weaver - Passing suddenly at his home on Murphy St., on Friday of last week, one of Trenton's best known and most esteemed business men, William Walter Weaver, has gone to his eternal reward and his death has saddened many a heart and many a home. Mr. Weaver was in his 69th year; and though he had been ill for some time and had returned to his home here fro Kingston where he had been under-going treatment only three days before, his sudden death came as a great shock to all who knew him. Born in Trenton area nearly three quarters of a century ago, the deceased was a son of the late Marshall B. Weaver and Gulielma Fieldhouse. His early years were spent at home and his education was received in Trenton public and high schools. His business career began when at an early age he accepted a sales agency for a piano firm and for years he concentrated his efforts on building up an extremely successful business. Stores were opened not only in Trenton but in Belleville and far and wide he was known as a fair man with whom to deal and a true and trustworthy friend. A member of the United Church he was known for his interest in the work of various branches of the organization; and he took an active part in municipat affairs. He was identified with Trent Lodge No. 38 A. F. & A. M. and his interest covered various other organizations and groups throughout the town and district. Surviving him and mourning the loss of a devoted husband and loving father are his widow, the former Florence W. Ames, three sons, Gerald and William at home and Howard at Queen's University, Kinston, three daughters, Mrs. Frank Filion of Timmins, Marian at home and Betty of Queen's University, Kinston, and three sistersin Western Canada. The funeral was held on Tuesday of this week from the home on Murphy St. under the auspices of Trent Lodge No. 38 A. F. & A. M. and bearers were six fellow members: Victor Little, Don Fraser, Wm. Heanery, O. G. Alyea, Delbert McColl and herb Mayhew. Rev. A. K. Edminson officiated both at the service and during the interment in Mount Evergreen Cemetery. The funeral procession was one of the longest and most imposing seen in Trenton in years and the profusion of floral tributes bore eloquent testimony to the popularity of the deceased. A number of out-of-town realtives attended and friends drove for many miles to be present." from The Trenton Courier, Thursday, March 25, 1937, seen on microfilm at The Trenton Public Library, Dec. 28, 2001.
