There was nothing but woods in Percy at that time.

". Other records show Sarah Dingman married to James McNutt as the daughter of Jacob Petrus Dingman. There is a Garret Dingman mentioned in other Land Petitions who obviously had recieved a land grant in Fredericksburgh very early. No other records indicate who this Garret was. The closest fit is Garret, the brother of Jacob although an infant death is mentioned on one GEDCOM for this. Can't tell for sure at this time.
