- Residence: 1794; Fredericksburgh Twp., Lennox & Addington Co., Ontario; A Land Petition says that brother John Dingman's family had lived on the Bay of Quinte for four years before going to Percy Twp. in 1798.
- Residence: 1798; Percy Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario; Land Records show that Samuel's brother John was in Percy in 1798 so it is possible Samuel and his young family was here as well.
- Residence: June 1799; Percy Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario; Possible Samuel and Mary were in Percy Twp. as early as summer 1799. That would explain why the next two sons are listed in Fredericksburgh Baptism Records and not the earlier ones. Baptism records states parents were "of Percy" in 1800 and 1801. It's likely that they lived in Percy and, until there was a minister in the area, went back to Fredericksburgh, their earlier home, to do things like baptisms and sometimes marriages. There was nothing but woods in Percy at that time.

Note: Article re daughter Mary Jane (Dingman) Cutting at her 95th birthday in 1939 says " ... he father lived to the ripe old age of 104 and her mother till she was 93. " This would mean he died in 1903. There is no other evidence of Isaac Living after 1881 - maybe not in Erin???2
- Residence*: 1800; Percy Twp., Northumberland Co., Upper Canada; Possible Samuel and Mary were in Percy Twp. as early as summer 1799. That would explain why the next two sons are listed in Fredericksburgh Baptism Records and not the earlier ones. Baptism records state parents were "of Percy" in 1800 and 1801. It's likely that they lived in Percy and, until there was a minister in the area, went back to Fredericksburgh, their earlier home, to do things like baptisms and sometimes marriages. There was nothing but woods in Percy at that time.

There is a Garret Dingman mentioned in other Land Petitions who obviously had recieved a land grant in Fredericksburgh very early. No other records indicate who this Garret was. The closest fit is Garret, the brother of Jacob although an infant death is mentioned on one GEDCOM for this. Can't tell for sure at this time.
