In the Belden County Atlas of 1878 it is labelled W.H.G - William Henry Goldsmith, husband of Sarah Ann Gould. The buildings are at the very south end of the lots in this area, along the shore of Wellers Bay. The Murray Canal came through the very north end of these lots, in the swampy area of Dead Creek.
