     Marshall Williams was born in 1855 at Ontario; Date 1855 & location Cda. per 1861 Census.¹ He appeared on the census of April 1861 at Hillier Twp., Prince Edward Co., Ontario; Age 6 at 1861 Census: see David Williams.¹ He married Ella Barton circa 1879 at Ontario; per FindaGrave.² Marshall Williams died on 26 February 1934 at Newcastle, Durham Co., Ontario; "Marshall Edward Williams, Trenton. Mr. Marshall Edward Williams, North Trenton, died on Feb. 26th, while visiting his daughter, Mrs. P. Hare, Newcastle. Mr. Williams had been ill for a short time. His death was caused by angina pectoris.
After a short service by Rev. W. P. Rogers, Newcastle United Church, at the house, the remains were brought to Trenton where interment was made in Mount Evergreen Cemetery, Thursday afternoon. Marshall Edward Williams was born on Big Island on March 12.1856. He was the son of David Williams and his wife Catherine Herrington. While in his infancy, he was brought by his parents to Murray Township where his father had purchased a farm, he being but the second owner from the Crown. Mr. Williams married Ella Barton, also of Big Island. Mrs. Williams died five years ago. Twenty-six years ago, Mr. Williams sold his farm In Murray to Ex-Warden Nicholas Hart and came to North Trenton to live. He served from 1900 to 1906 on the trustee board of S.S. 11, and from 1897 until his death on the official board of the North Trenton United Church. Mr. Williams was a member of the Ancient Order United Workmen and a staunch Liberal in politics. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Percy Hare Newcastle; and Mrs. Kathleen Twiddy, Windsor; and Mrs. S. W. Whlttleton. Regina, Sask. Funeral services were conducted at Cobley's Funeral Chapel by Rev. W.E. Kelly, pastor of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, in the absence of Rev. A. K. Edmison. Pallbearers were Messrs. Hugh McCormick. H Mayhew, W. Carnwrlght, C. VanAlstine, James Redlck and M. Hennessy.
