Genevieve was married to Carman R. Wessels of Brockport New York. In actual fact, he was my Step-Uncle. Carman had a half-brother by the name of Wyatt G. Raleigh. I didn't know if this is news to you, or not but, Carman was born Carman Raleigh, then soon after adopted by Mattie and Norris Wessels. This adoption may have taken place so fast that he was never a Raleigh. There were no Birth Certificates at that time. To put things in perspective, my father Wyatt was born about 1906, and Carman was born in 1909.The same Mother, Pearl Raleigh (unwed). Mattie Wessels was Mattie Raleigh, Pearl's sister, before she married Norris. She and Norris were childless; they took Carman. As I said, Wyatt was my dad, and knew Carman and Genevieve. I had been to their house in Lockport a few times when I was young. I do remember that Aunt Gene (I thought it was Jean) was a School Teacher, and Carman looked a lot like my father.
