Note: The legal rangling seems to have been: After Thomas Martin remarried, to Robina ?, they wanted to pass the land to joint ownership. However, Lots 9 & 10 both belonged to Julia Martin when she died in 1913, so her children, as heirs, were then part owners. The Ontario Supreme Court ruled for the kids and they sold the lots to Wildred Earl Simpson, likely after Thomas Martin died.⁵ He Thomas Martin appears in The Latimer Photos which were taken by Hugh Latimer during the late 1920s and early 1930s at his father's General Store in Orland.
