She was the daughter of the late George Arthur of Wooler and was the last surviving member of the family by Mr. Arthur's first marriage. She had reached the advanced age of 86 years and 7 months. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters. Mrs. Helen Edwards of Winnipeg. Mrs. Levi Palmer and Miss Emma at home. The funeral which was held at her daughter's, Mrs. Levi Palmer, was largely attended by a large circle of relatives and friends. The floral offerings of her daughters and grandchildren of Winnipeg and Ladies of the Methodist church, were! beautiful. Rev. Mr, Wotfraim oft Consecon officiated. The pall bearers were all friends of the deceased and family. They were Messrs. Lyman Smith, L. P. Hubbs, John Painter, J. D. Campbell, C. N. Palmer and C. L. Jones.      John Arthur was born circa 1839; per “Pioneer Life on the Bay of Quinte”, pg. 100.¹ He lived in 1859 at St. Vincent Twp., Grey Co., Ontario; John Arthur & family moved to St. Vincent Twp., Grey Co. in 1859 - per County Atlas.²
