Mrs. Belford passed away at the home of her son Percy, near Kelwood, on Friday evening, June 10, at the age of 89 year. Deceased came to Kelwood about thirty years ago and is survived by five sones and one daughter. Major James F. Belford of Codrington, Ontario, harry of Fort William, Joseph W. Belford, manitou, Saskatchewan, Rev. H. O. N. Belford, Richmond, Quebec, percival R. Belford and Mrs. T. Mckone, Kelwood district. The service was conducted by F. H. White, lay-reader-in-charge, the funeral sermon being preached by Rev. J. R. Anderen of Kelwood United Church. Burial was made in the family plot in Kelwood Cemetery, F. H. White conducting the graveside ceremonies. The pallbearers were M. P. Petersen, Wm. Mcnarland, W. Bristow, G. Gawstow, G. Scott and W. Mr. McKone predeceased her in 1939. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. W. Russell of Winnipeg and Mrs. F. Jenkins, Holmfield - four sons, Bill of Blueberry, B. C., Bert of Sylvester, Alberta, Moore of Wakatown, Alberta, and Rex of Regina. Four brothers, Harry Belford, Fort William, Bert in Quebec, Jim of Codrington, Ontario, Joe of Debolt, Alberta; also 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A brother, Percy, died OOctober 1944.
