    "OBITUARY. At the home of B.C.H. Becker on Saturday, Feb. 5th, 1916, Miranda Potter, relict of Cornelius Valleau, after a brief illness, passed peacefully away from this world at the advanced age of 83 years. Mrs. Valleau was born in Prince Edward County in the year 1833; became the wife of the late Cornelius Valleau in 1860; moved to Brighton in 1864. She v.as the mother of three children: Miss Ella who predeceased her about 15 years; Styles, at present in Toronto; and Mrs. B. C. H. Becker with whom she resided until her demise. She was of a quiet and rather retiring disposition, but kind and highly respected by all who knew her. She was a member in full communion of the Presbyterian church, where she was an active worker in her earlier years. The funeral services were held at her late home on Monday, Feb. 7th, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. A. K. McLeod, assisted by the Rev.
