"Wooler: This community was startled on Tuesday of last week, by the intelligence of the sudden death of Mrs. Gould, Sr. Mrs. Gould was as well as usual in the morning when two of her sons with thier wives left the village to spend a few days at Twelve O'clock Point. George, another son, on going home, found his mother lying dead near her bed which she had evidently tried to reach. The funeral took place on Thursday and was largely attended. Rev. F. Woodger conducted the service. Deceased was a member of the Methodist church, a teacher in the Sabbath school, a leader of a Catechumen class and a member of the W. M. S.
