John Morris Flindall writes about on Edward Evans dying in 1817 soon after coming to Canada and endruing all the hardships. Land records and census records include Edward Evans but it is unclear which is being referred to. I have consructed this family based on what might allow the things we know from documents. (Dan Buchanan, Nov 26 2024.)5 She appeared on the census of 1821 at Murray Twp., Northumberland Co., Upper Canada; 1821 Census: Susannah Evins, 1 male over 16, 1 female under 16 (Newcastle District Census & Assessment Records, Murray Twp.)

(Newcastle District Census & Assessment Records, Murray Twp.)
Note: This is the first time we see Susannah with the surname Thomson. Looks like she has married Joseph Thompson, although she is still the head of the household, the land owner, so her name appears in the census. It does show a male over 16, as in 1828. (Dan Buchanan, Nov 26 2024.)5 She appeared on the census of 1839 at Murray Twp., Northumberland Co., Upper Canada; 1839 Census: Susan Thompson, 1 male over 16, male under 16, 1 female over 16 (Newcastle District Census & Assessment Records, Murray Twp.)5 She appeared on the census of 1840 at Murray Twp., Northumberland Co., Upper Canada; 1840 Census: Susan Thompson, 1 female over 16 (Newcastle District Census & Assessment Records, Murray Twp.)
