We regret this work to chronicle the death of Mrs. Sarah Clark Tourje, relict of the late William Tourje, Esq., who entered the Golden City on Sunday at the advanced age of 82 years and 10 months. This most esimable lady was born in the state of Vermont, on February 15th, 1811. Early in life she was converted and joined the Methodist Church. On April 21, 1835, she was united in marriage to William Tourje, who departed this life in 1888. The deceased lived for one year in Brockville and moved in 1836 to Cobourg. She has ever since resided in our midst. She leaves a family of three daughters and one son, viz. Mrs. Andrew Earl, of Columbus, O[ntario]; Mrs. (DR.) E.S. Popham, of Winnipeg; Mr. Wilber Tourje, of Jersey City, N.J.[USA]; and Miss Dora Tourje, who lives at the family residence, No 6 Chapel street.
