Valentine Cryderman was a German, came to America many years ago, lived in Johnstown when the Rebellion broke out; He was always Loyal - In 1776 he was taken up and kept a close Prison(er) 3 months and used terribly ill - he was required to take an oath, which he refused; He became so ill in Consequence of his sufferings that he never recovered - he lost his senses - and was confined to his Bed a long time, died in 1780 - ; Her husband had 125 acres Lease land in Johnstown - produces Lease of 125 aces in Secondago from Wendell and others to Marker Waller for ever at (pounds) 6 per annum York currency - 1774 with assignment to Valentine Cryderman for (pounds) 40 - 1774. 8 acres were clear when he bought it - he cleared 22 acres more. Lost 2 Horses, furniture, clothes, etc. She was obliged to sell her cows and some other stock; James Morden (witness) sworn: Knew Valentine Cryderman, he was very loyal - he suffered so much from imprisonment that witness thinks it occasioned an illness which proved fatal to him.
