Note: Hezekiah Hoard may have come to Upper Canada around 1805 (son Aaron shown born in Vermont?) but presence in Seymour Twp. appears to be later, certainly before 1816. Was he in Rawdon Twp. before that, for the birth of several of the later children? Some researchers show this. Marriages with Cummings and Horton families suggest he was on or near Conc 1, Lot 10, where the north side of Stirling Village is today. Looking to straighten out the details re this. This is not a surprise because of the very early date of burial. It would be very much an exception if a stone memorial were still in existence for a burial in 1839. Unless more specific info comes to light, we need to speculate on the location of burial for Hezekiah Hoard - which is very normal for a burial at that early date. He lived at Lot 24, conc 2, Rawdon Twp. and the closest cemetery is the Hubble-Hay Cemetery, at Conc 3, Lot 22, quite close to his home. There are records for Hoard folks buried there starting in the 1840s. Another option is the Weaver Cemetery, a bit farther east at Conc 2 Lot 17. The Cummings-Horton Cemetery mentioned in the 2009 GEDCOM is less likely since it is farther east, around the north side of the Village of Stirling.
My suggestion is that Hezekiah Hoard may have been buried in a family burying ground on lot 24, conc 2, or may have been among the earliest burials in the Hubble-Hay Cemetery, probably with a wooden memorial which has not survived. (Dan Buchanan, March 9 2022.)¹
