Note: This land, in between the town hall and Kingsley Ave., was inherited by Ida Lockwood when her mother died in 1917. It would be donated to the town of Brighton in 1920 although there is no land transfer record available. People had placed fieldstones to the west of the town hall in commemoration of soldiers from the area who were fighting in WWI. In 1920, a memorial fountain was erected using the fieldstones.
