He spent most of his life farming and raising pure bred horses making his home for nearly fifty-two years near Steele City with the exception of two years which he spent in Kansas City. Surviving are his son Earl who lives in Washington state, three nephews, Joe, George and William Banahan, Steele City and one niece, Mrs. Reuben Gretzinger, Diller. Five sisters and one brother preceded him in death, he at the time of his death being the last of his immediate family. Funderal services were held in the Presbyterian church in Steeles City, Friday afternoon. Pall bearers were Mart Sampson, Robert Thompson, E. Silkett, Adam Gretzinger, Ona Cassell and John Hick.
