  Note: Silas Pomeroy and Sarah Stone did not live far from each other. He in Southampton, Mass., in the middle-western area of Mass., and she almost directly north in Cheshire Co., the south west corner of New Hampshire. It is said that Abner Pomeroy moved to Plattsburgh, NY after the war. This seems to be contradicted by the birth of Children in Southampton in the years after the war. Silas and Sarah appear to have moved there as we see them in Chateaugay, Clinton Co., just a bit to the north west from Plattsburgh, in the 1800 Census, which seems to match his family very closely. His land, Conc 4, Lot 35, had been just a bit north of there and his wife Rebecca would be buried there in 1904. He died in Belleville, probably while visiting or living with daughter Louisa and husband Thomas Kelso, who as the Informant for the Death Reg'n.
