Fourteen years later the land was sold to a farmer named Jacob Hendricks. Around 1860, Jacob's son John Frederick Hendricks, a member of Trenton town council, built his magnificent home and named it "Bayview". Stone was quarried from his farmland and cut into square pieces of limestone over 20 inches thick. Two more generations of Hendricks would occupy the home until the death of Jacob's great-grandson George Frederick (Fred) in 1954. Behind the main house stood the large barn which today is the apartment building just off Mark Crescent. At one time, the Hendricks family owned tourist cabins on the east side of the house, where the Goodyear Station is located today. The current owner, Sharon Gaudaur, bought the house in 1984 and has restored much of the original house. She is proud of the Henricks' furniture and artifacts left in the house. That lot that was originally bought by Asa Weller in 1802 stretched from today's Fourth Avenue to Fairview Crescent and south to the bay. Trent Port Historical Society wishes to thank Sharon Gaudaur for inviting us for a tour of the Henricks House." https://www.facebook.com/TrentonTownHall/posts/1673736662667733/
