Dear brother of Bill Hanthorn (the late Helen), Ellen Rollins (the late Herb) and Gayle MacAulay (Chuck). Lovingly remembered by Marilyn's siblings; the late Thelma Mason (Doug), Leslie Doxtator (Diane), the late Wallace Doxtator (Winnie), Royce Doxtator (Leola), Everett Doxtator (Karen), Beverley Mavin (Mert), the late Nancy Seymour (the late Jim), the late Joe (Colleen) and Laurie Franklin (John). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Bob was the proud owner and operator of Hanthorn Motors in Carrying Place for many years. He enjoyed meeting new friends and customers. He gave of his time unselfishly and spent many hours volunteering as a Volunteer Fire Fighter, a member and former President of the Carrying Place Recreation Association, manning the kettle for the Salvation Army, driving cancer patients to their appointments and also donating regularly to the Canadian Blood Bank. During his active life he could be found on the golf greens, ice rink, ball diamond or with a fishing pole in his hand. His most lasting legacy will be the love he had for his beloved Marilyn and the life they shared with their family. The family would like to thank all the staff at Kingston General Hospital for the dedicated and compassionate care during his extended stay and to the community for the expressions of sympathy and support during this time. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
