According to records left (no dates) Isaac Davis joined the Church of Latter-day Saints early also four of his children. The family moved to Nauvoo about 1840. They were expelled with the Saints and moved to Pisgah, Iowa. It was here that Jonathan Gleason was baptized about 1850. While living in Pisgah, Iowa, the Saints were out of provisions. Isaac and another man crossed the river to get some for them. The river was very high. As they were returning with the provisions the current took the team down the river.
