  "They told us of a sad accident that has happened thsi morning. A sister of the Widow Ruggles, as she was getting breakfast, her gown or petticoat caught fire and was entirely burnt off her. The waist, her arms and from the waist down is most dreadfully burnt. Her sister was upstairs and did not hear her shrieks at first, but afterwards gave her assistance, and has her hands a good deal burnt. It is said that Mrs. Moody was passing and was the frist that heard her screams, and that the poor creature had run into the street.
