Death Notice: "Mrs. Chas. S. Strong; The sad news reached Carleton Place on Monday, August 10, from Toronto of the death in that city on that day, in the Western Hospital, of Mrs. Charles S. Strong, who had been a sufferer for quite a while from goitre. Mrs. Strong was before her marriage Lucie M. Berryman, eldest daughter of Mrs. S. J. Berryman, of Carleton Place. She was born in Almonte in 1873, and in February 1902, whilst residing in London with her aunt, was united in marriage with Mr. C. S. Strong. Their home has been in Buffalo and Toronto, the last eleven years in the latter city. She is survived by her husband, her father and two sisters, Mrs. J. A. Neilson of Toronto and Miss Annie at home. the remains were brought to Carleton Place for interment, the funeral taking place August 13 from the home of Mr. Berryman on Victoria street to the 8th line cemetery, Almonte. The service at the home was conducted by Rev. Canon Elliott. The casket was covered with flowers, tributes from loving friends. Amongst the offerings were a heart from the husband, a pillow from the family, wreaths from Mrs. Eilbeck, Mr. H. A.
