Work is also progressing rapidly on the road along the Bayshore from the Atkins farm down to Weaver’s cottage (125 and 123 Bayshore) where the road is being widened to a width of twenty-six-feet. The commission was willing to take over a portion of the road on Harbour Street beginning at a point 12 feet from the bridge and ending at the lime kiln, providing the corporation would grant the commission the sum of $100.00. It was passed that the Counties Council pays a similar amount, and in return the Presqu’ile Park Commission agreed to take over the road mentioned. At the corner was a large lime kiln and the road went around it. The land and kiln were purchased by the Commission from George Huff for $100.00.
