Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a gabardine suit of neutral shade, with Burgundy accessories and corsage of red Better Times roses and bouvardia. Miss Pearl Cole, the bridesmaid, wore a suit of mystic blue gabardine with black accessories and corsage of Sweetheart roses. Mr. Thomas Cheer of Brighton was his brother's groomsman. Mrs. A.N. Reid played the wedding march. A reception and dinner followed the ceremony, the three-tier wedding cake and white gladioli decorating the table. The groom's mother wore a dress of sentimental blue, with black accessories and corsage of Sweetheart roses. For their wedding trip to western and northern Ontario the bride added a neck piece of Russian squirrels, the gift of the groom, to her costume. The bride's gift to the groom was a Gladstone bag; to the bridesmaid an initialled gold compact, and to the pianist a cup and saucer and corsage of roses. The grooms gift to the groomsman was a leather billfold. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Alyea and daughter, Miss Rosemary Alyea of Trenton, and Miss Louise Cheer of Toronto, the groom's sister.
