Note: According to Malcolm Montgomery, the given names were Hugh Wesley Phillips Montgomery. If we look at a blow-up of the Birth Registration, it may be that it was written as Phillips - it could be interpreted either way - just a p or a p with no top and an s. We can confirm in the Birth Reg'n. that the name order is Hugh Phillips Wesley Montgomery, although this may have been modiified in popular usage.

Note: It is odd that the memorial for John and Eleanor Fennell is a Hilton Cemetery. All records show that this family lived in Haldimand Twp. from 1812 and Abel Fennell census and assessment records show them consisstently at Conc 2, Lot 13. Land Records show no land purchases in this area for the Fennell family and I don't see land records for them until they moved to Cramahe Twp. in the 1840s. It could be that when they moved to Hilton, they moved the memorial of their parents as well. (Dan Buchanan, Nov 14 2021)2,3
