Weekly dances were held here every summer for the next few years - usually on Saturday nights. The music was country and western and there were generally three or four square dances per night along with the round dances. Music was provided by musicians from the local area with small groups of three or four plus a caller for square dances.
In the winter of 1940 heavy snow caused the roof to collapse and the building was tom down and never replaced. Both round and square dancing was provided and many people came from the surrounding area just to hear Mr. Doxsee and his banjo. By the late thirties the pavilion part seems to have been closed.
