The Gillett's are listed as land owners on a Brighton lot map 1878 .
Our line is also from the Avery's which is a well known line which includes Captain James Avery .Several family ancestors seemed to come from NY. Just wanted to give an idea of the lineage just in case you knew about these ancestors. Our family is interested in finding earlier Brighton Maps with lot numbers and names of the land owners . Something like 1850 or earlier . I remember seeing something that had Thomas Parr as a early landowner now I can't find it ;-/ I'm pretty sure he was listed next to a lot owned by a Gillett ( Reubin ? ).
