In his teaching career he taught a wide range of subjects including Mathematics, Physics, French, History, Girls P. E. and Cadet Training. At E.N.S.S. his speciality was Math (Geometry) and Physics.
Harry however is best remembered for his personal qualities of complete honesty and sincere dedication to duty - a man of integrity and highest principles; and above all a person who really cared for young people, always providing a helping hand for the ones for whom life seemed especially difficult.
Outside the school Harry has always been very active, especially in the field of sports. He can claim much of the credit for the development of organized sports in Brighton, ably assisting in many different capacities including coaching, umpiring, time-keeping, gate keeping etc. He still spends many of his free hours assisting with the many activities at King Edward Park Arena and the baseball diamond.
